10 Schools qualify for semi-finals of Perfect Series contest

Ten schools have qualified for the semi-final stage of the Perfect Series Basic Schools Assessment Contest (northern sector) which was held in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.

The 10 Schools qualify for semi-finals of Perfect Series contest are as follow:
- SSNIT Presbyterian Model School
- Unique Educational Complex
- Konadu Educational Complex
- O.A. Legacy International School
- Reverence Preparatory School
- Moreag Montessori School
- Queen Namies Montessori School
- New Life Christian Academy
- Eldia Montessori School
- Bosomtwe STEM Academy
Five schools out of the ten semi finalist are expected to advance to final stage. The semi finals is scheduled to take place July 3, 2025 at the GNAT Hall in Kumasi.
At the final stage, the top three schools will progress to compete at the national final, where they would be joined by the three schools that topped the southern sector (Accra) to compete for the ultimate prize.
At the event, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Perfect Star Media Production and organiser of the contest, Pastor Philip Sarpong, expressed his appreciation to the sponsors and participating schools for their continued support.
He explained that the 2025 edition of the contest had been divided into northern and southern sectors for broader participation of schools.
Pastor Sarpong noted that the ultimate winner would receive a cash prize of GH₵20,000, a certificate, a laptop, a trophy, a fridge, a 50-inch television, medals, textbooks, and exercise books.
The school that placed second, he said, would be awarded GH₵15,000, a laptop, a 32-inch television, a trophy, certificates, medals, textbooks and exercise books.
He added that, the third place school would also receive GH₵10,000, a desktop computer, a trophy, medals, tablets, textbooks, and exercise books while the school that would place fourth would take home GH₵2,000, a certificate and souvenirs from sponsors.
He encouraged participating schools and their teachers to continue preparing adequately, stressing that the competition was not only about winning but also about motivating learners and promoting excellence in education.
The contest is aimed at assessing learners’ academic knowledge, creativity and critical thinking abilities.

Learners were tested in English Language, Mathematics, General Science and General Knowledge.
Each participating school was represented by a learner from basic three, four, five and six, providing a comprehensive and accurate assessment of the school’s overall academic performance.
