Post-BECE processes before results are released
The 2025 BECE has been projected to be released by 17th August 2025, but the big question is, what are the post-BECE processes before results are released?
Result Scrutiny and Handling of Irregularities:
When the marking is completed, WAEC will initiate post-marking processes, which include vetting of marked scripts, data entry, and investigation of alleged and suspected examination malpractices. At this stage there is a series of scrutinies of results. This is part of efforts by WAEC to ensure accurate data entry and processing.
Data Processing and Verification:
WAEC ensures the accurate entry and processing of all candidate data, including grades and other relevant information, before results are finalized.
Release of results on WAEC’s portal
WAEC provides results listings to schools, allowing them to inform candidates about their performance. Candidates can also access their individual results online after paying the necessary fees.
