- Work the questions within a time of 1 hour and 30 minutes, then reduce the time in solving to 45 minutes.
- Solve the questions at least three times in one week.

- A car that was bought for GH¢ 30,000.00 and marked to give a profit of 25% was reduced in a sale by 12%. Find
- a) Final sale price of the car,
- b) i. profit,
- Percentage Profit.
- The probabilities that Stella and Esther will win their respective races are 2/3 and 3/5. Find the probability that:
- a) both of them will win
- b) only one of them will win.
- (a) Using a ruler and a pair of compasses only, construct a trapezium ABCD in which the parallel sides AB and DC are 4cm apart, ∠DAB = 60°, AB = 8.8cm and DC = 5.3cm.
- b) Measure
- i) BC
- ii) ∠ABC
- The fifteenth term of an Arithmetic Progression (AP) is five less than thrice the fifth term and the fourth term is 20. Find the:
- a) first term,
- b) common difference.
- a) Given that sin x = 1/2, where 0° ≤ x ≤ 90°, evaluate tan²x + sec x − csc x.
- b) Evaluate (5.67 × 10^−3 × 3.4 × 10^4) / (1.2 × 10^2), leaving your answer in standard form.
SECTION B

Answer five questions only from this section. All questions carry equal marks.
- a) Given that A(-3, -7), B(-9, 1) and C(-1, 9). If M is the midpoint of AB,
- i) find the coordinates of M;
- ii) express MC in the form (r, θ).
- b) Given that y varies jointly as x and the square root of z. When x = 2, y = 6 and z = 9,
- i) express y in terms of x and z,
- ii) find the value of y when x = 3 and z = 16.
- The table below shows the marks (%) obtained by a group of 50 students in a Mathematics test.

a) If the mean is 68.5%, find the values of m and n.
