  1. WAEC to Release 2025 BECE and WASSCE Results for Ghan and Nigeria in August.
  2. The results will be accessible online but students who cheat with AI will have their results cancelled.
  3. The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) is set to release the 2025 WASSCE results for Nigerian candidates and the BECE results for Ghanaian candidates in August.

According to reliable sources, the WASSCE results for Nigeria are expected to be released between Thursday, 18th August, and Saturday, 23rd August 2025, while the BECE results for Ghana will be released on Monday, 4th August 2025.

In a related development, the 2025 WASSCE for school candidates in Ghana will commence on Tuesday, 5th August 2025.

All candidates, teachers, and schools that presented candidates for Ghana’s 2025 BECE and Nigeria’s 2025 WASSCE are strongly advised to note that WAEC will cancel all results or scripts of candidates found to have used ChatGPT or other AI-generated answers during the examinations.

This measure is part of WAEC’s strict enforcement of examination regulations to prevent malpractice and safeguard the integrity and credibility of its exams.

“WAEC has confirmed that any candidate found to have used ChatGPT or other AI-generated answers during the examination will have their results cancelled,” a statement sighted by WAEC Exam Tips revealed.

Candidates who sat for Ghana’s 2025 BECE and Nigeria’s 2025 WASSCE should also note that those caught cheating may be invited by WAEC for further investigation to determine their final fate. Candidates who fail to attend these investigations, or those unable to exonerate themselves, risk having some or all of their results cancelled, depending on the severity of their offense. In some cases, candidates may be barred from taking any WAEC-administered examinations for up to two years.

Once released, candidates will need to check their results via the official WAEC result portals. A valid WAEC result checker will be required to access and print the results.

As the release dates approach, we wish all candidates from both Ghana and Nigeria the best of luck in their results.
