New 2025 BECE School Placement Portal Ready

All is set for the 2025 BECE graduates who sat their WAEC-administered exam to check the 2025 School Placement on a CSSPS Portal. While WAEC is yet to complete the marking of the BECE, release results, and make an announcement, the Ministry of Education has taken bold, proactive steps to improve the efficiency of the school placement checking portal. The portal, when loaded with the school placement status of the candidates who sat the BECE, will be officially activated for the checking of SHS and TVET schools (public and private) into which candidates for the Basic Education Certificate Examination have been placed.

While the Ministry of Education (MoE) is yet to announced the changes it has made to the portal, the portal, which is accessible via https://www.cssps.gov.gh/hub/login

Features of the new School Selection and Placement CSSPS Portal.

It is well designed and user-friendly.
It can be used for checking one’s school placement status.
It can aid in doing self-placement (Currently, this feature is not visible on the site)
The CSSPS portal has a helpline section, a check placement menu and an FAQs section on the menu, among others.
It loads faster compared to the previous years, but its speed on mobile devices needs to be worked on.
The checking of the school placement by BECE candidates and parents will be free.
Before checking the placement status, parents and candidates will receive a special code. This is a free access code received via SMS on the phone number used during registration.

The 2025 School Placement Portal, however, cannot be used to change a school into which a candidate has been placed automatically.

The use of phone numbers for receiving verification codes for result checking

The phone number of parents used for the registration will be needed if the school placement is to be checked. While this is a great layer of security, it may create some challenges if the phone number used is no longer active or, for some reason, the phone number is not accessible.

How to Check the 2025 BECE School Placement Result On CSSPS Portal In Two Simple Steps

Enter your 10-digit BECE index number followed by the last 2 digits of the year of examination. For example, 100000000025 for the year 2025.
Enter the free access code received via SMS on the phone number used during registration.
Print the school placement slips, prospectus and other relevant files from the portal.
